Maternity departments are in constant demand, 24 hours a day 365 days a year, which makes any out-of-hours working or shutting-off of services impossible. But when the Royal Berkshire Hospital needed to upgrade its labour wards we manned up for the task.
In all we stripped out each suite, replacing floors and ceilings, installing hygienic wall protection systems, IPS panelling, sanitary ware, Easy Clean storage units, lighting and renewed power distribution. Each room included a complete refit of the en-suite facilities.
