The A&E department was reaching its maximum capacity when the decision was made to expand into some existing office areas.
This required the complete strip out and refurbishment of the new area, all work taking place directly adjacent to the fully functioning Emergency Department. The work included new windows and doors, ventilation, air conditioning, fire detection and protection, installation of Nurse Call systems, medical gases and partitioning together with all final decoration.
